Due to the continued expansion within the Sales and Marketing department we are currently resourcing candidates with previous Business Development experience within a similar role.
Responsibilities
To develop our business by improving the delivery of sustainable growth and customer loyalty through effective account development, planning and disciplined sales execution which focuses on identifying and converting the sales potential within our market segment
To map the industry and main players in the customer base including new customers and identify opportunities for UK Point of Sale
Planning of territory and calls to maximise sales potential of the assigned accounts to achieve departmental sales targets
Develop multi-level contacts with our customers buying teams and other related functions
Actively and effectively promote UK Point of Sale products and services and develop specific value propositions and case studies to secure new business
Develop and strengthen existing partnerships with new and existing key accounts to maximise new opportunities with customers and drive sales and profitability
Lead commercial engagements with new business leads ensuring that all opportunities are maximised and quantified
Create customer loyalty through the delivery of a bespoke service ensuring the customer experience is industry leading
Work with the sales team to ensure development plans and solutions are delivered top our customers to agreed schedules and requirements
Effectively communicate to all stakeholders and customers
Desirable skills and experience
Previous experience within a commercial or sales executive environment with demonstrated deliverables
Experience of working within a retail environment with strong industry experience and the skills to apply this to a business development role
Be able to understand the UK Point of Sale business model and connect these to business development opportunities with customers
Able to deliver the UK Point of Sale values to the customer and secure business based on the added value we bring to the market
Ability to implement specific action plans to identify and secure, protect, defend and win new business for the UK Point of Sale group
IT literate - competent with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word etc.
Competent and confident presenter
Effective planning to maximise productivity and customer-facing time
Passionate about providing excellent customer care
Able to multi-task and react to changes with positive results
Excellent written and verbal communication and negotiation skills
Be able to handle pressure to meet delivery deadlines
